ACT BRUMBIES v MOANA PASIFIKA
BRUMBIES (1-15): James Slipper, Connal McInerney, Rhys Van Nek, Nick Frost, Cadeyrn Neville, Rob Valetini, Luke Reimer, Pete Samu, Nic White, Noah Lolesio, Corey Toole, Ollie Sapsford, Len Ikitau, Andy Muirhead, Tom Wright
RESERVES: Lachlan Lonergan, Blake Schoupp, Tom Ross, Jack Wright, Charlie Cale, Ryan Lonergan, Jack Debreczeni, Ben O’Donnell
The Brumbies beat the Tah’s in round 1,the Blues in round 2,and the Reds in round 3,so for me it is roll on. The Pasifika team may be physical, but that won’t be enough to stop the Brumbies.
It’s a homecoming of sorts for Moana Pasifika captain Christian Lealiifano, who will start against his former team in Canberra on Saturday night.
The first five-eighth played 13 seasons for the Brumbies, who he amassed a whopping 150 games for between 2007 and 2019.
While Moana Pasifika beat an under-strength Brumbies team in their final match of last season, this week’s round four clash shapes as a daunting one against one of just two undefeated teams in the competition.
MOANA (1-15): Abraham Pole, Ray Niula, Suetena Asomua, Potu Leavasa, Mike McKee, Miracle Faiilagi, Alamanda Motuga, Lotu Inisi, Ereatara Enari, Christian Leali’ifano, Timoci Tavatavanawai, Danny Toala, Levi Aumua, Fine Inisi, William Havili
RESERVES: Samiuela Moli, Taukiha’amea Koloamatangi, Isi Tu’ungafasi, Alex McRobbie, Solomone Funaki, Manu Paea, Henry Taefu, Anzelo Tuitavuki
Mean while Pasifika lost to the Drua in a close game in round 1,the Chiefs gave them a dusting in round 2,and were narrowly beaten by the Force in round 3,a game they should have won.
Brumbies to win 15 plus @ $1.53 looks safe to me.
