The Drua are back in the humid conditions of Lautoka after playing two games in Suva. Last week’s performance against the Hurricanes was arguably their weakest of the season, especially considering the three yellow cards received by the visitors. Once again, handling errors plagued the Fijians, with 21 turnovers indicating a lack of possession control, which surely did not meet coach Mick Byrne’s expectations.
Meanwhile, Moana enjoyed a week off, and their upcoming journey to Lautoka shouldn’t evoke much apprehension, given they came agonizingly close to victory on the island last year, with only a missed conversion by Christian Leali’ifano standing in their way. However, the Drua cannot afford to lose this crucial home match, especially with a challenging two-week trip to Australia looming ahead.
