Rabbitohs Aim for Back-to-Back Wins: Broncos Face Tough Challenge at Accor Stadium

Fresh from an upset victory over the Titans, the Rabbitohs aim for their first back-to-back wins of the season as they host the Broncos at Accor Stadium.

Latrell Mitchell Shines: Star Fullback’s Performance Spurs Rabbitohs to Victory Over Titans

Latrell Mitchell delivered a stellar performance, thrilling South Sydney fans and leading to a 46-12 thrashing of the Gold Coast. This has put him firmly in the Origin spotlight, prompting Brisbane to strategize on how to contain the star fullback.

Return of Captain Murray: Rabbitohs Welcoming Cameron Murray Back After Injury

Additionally, the Rabbitohs are set to welcome back their star captain, Cameron Murray (hip), for the first time since Round 9, eager to help his team continue their climb out of the NRL cellar.

Broncos Seek Redemption: Eager to Bounce Back After Disappointing Losses

Meanwhile, the Broncos will be eager to get their season back on track after losses to the Titans and Sharks on either side of their bye.

Injury Woes Continue for Broncos: Reece Walsh Remains Sidelined, Relief with Staggs’ Return

Star fullback Reece Walsh will remain sidelined for another week due to a head knock, but there’s relief with centre Kotoni Staggs named to play after injuring his knee during Saturday’s loss to the Sharks.

The only change for the Broncos is Xavier Willison coming onto the bench, while Fletcher Baker drops to the reserves. Kotoni Staggs is confirmed to play despite his recent knee knock.

Key Matchup History: Rabbitohs vs. Broncos: Recent Records and Statistics

The Rabbitohs have scored 88 points in their past two games.

The Broncos have won four of their past five games against the Rabbitohs.

Rabbitohs fullback Latrell Mitchell has scored 48 points in his past four games.

The Broncos play their first game at Accor Stadium since the 2023 grand final.

The Rabbitohs require 17 points to reach 40,000 points scored since 1908.

Prediction.

The Bunnies appear to be back, after comfortably winning consecutive games against the Eels and Titans. The Broncos struggled last week in losing to the Sharks at home with Reece Walsh and fellow key spine member Adam Reynolds on the injured list. The first half was great, the second was a disaster. The questions are, are the Bunnies back ,and have the Broncos lost a little mojo. They seem to be very inconsistent for some reason. This will have to improve. I hear Corey Oates may be out as well to add to the Broncos worries.

LATE MAIL. Kevin Walters has been dealt a blow with Corey Oates ruled out of the Broncos’ clash with the Rabbitohs. Oates limped off training with a knee injury this week and has failed to recover in time. Selwyn Cobbo will shift to left wing with rookie Josiah Karapani  to partner Kotoni Staggs in the centres. Back the Bunnies..
