Jayden Berrell

The Sharks may be fresh off the bye, but have been forced into a couple of key changes. Royce Hunt has been  moved into the starting side after Toby Rudolf underwent toe surgery and Cameron McInnes starting at lock with Dale Finucane out suspended. Speaking of suspensions, Wade Graham is back, and joins the bench. Braydon Trindall is out with Graham back.

Cronulla had the bye last week after a late loss to the Warriors the previous week.

Roosters team:

1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Joseph Suaalii 4. Joseph Manu 5. Jaxson Paulo 6. Luke Keary 7. Sam Walker 8. Jared Waerea-Hargreaves 9. Brandon Smith 10. Lindsay Collins 11. Egan Butcher 12. Nat Butcher 13. Victor Radley 14. Drew Hutchison 15. Naufahu Whyte 16. Terrell May 17. Matthew Lodge 18. Corey Allan 19. Siua Wong 20. Paul Momirovski 21. Jake Turpin 22. Elie El Zakhem

Skipper James Tedesco returns at fullback, forcing Joey Manu to the centres and Drew Hutchison to the bench and Jake Turpin out of the 17. And in another big return, Matt Lodge has been named on the bench for his first game since suffering a facial fracture in Round 1. Fletcher Baker is out with concussion also.

The chooks have won the last seven against Cronulla and they have not lost to this side since 2017.They were well beaten by Melbourne last week after a stupid sin bin by Victor Radley which I think swung the game and they never recovered. In horrible weather Melbourne punished them.

PREDICTION

I will be taking the Roosters here in a close game because I think they are too classy and Cronulla are short on middle forwards with Finucane and Rudolf out. Besides they owe me from last week when I picked them, and lost. I am not going crazy here and they only win by 0.5 points @ $1.68 The Sharks are a good side and will play all night to upset the Roosters. Plus 6.5 points gets you $1.68 on Cronulla.
