AUGUST 2nd 2024 FULLTIME Warriors 20 – 30 Eels
Warriors’ Disappointing Performance
I have just watched 40 minutes of one of the worst performances by a NRL team I have seen for a long time. Yes, only 40 minutes, that’s how bad the Warriors are.
Eels Secure Victory Over Lackluster Warriors
Firstly congratulations to the Eels on the victory. But to be fair even the local high school would beat this Warriors side.
The Warriors won the first 10 minutes, maybe,
Warriors’ Defensive Failures and Missed Opportunities
They challenged a decision by the referee after 20 minute of the first half and lost, again.
They got a penalty just on half time from almost in front, and missed.
Their defence was abysmal, their attack was predictable, and basically non existent.
They dropped passes, they knocked on at crucial times.
Predictable Attack and Poor Kicking Cost Warriors
Their last tackle kicking was poor. The chase just as bad. By halftime the Warriors had amassed five errors and missed 12 tackles.
This is not the first time for these so called professional players. They are just so dumb.
Fans’ Frustration with Warriors’ Inconsistent Play
In front of a sold out home crowd who paid good money to support these losers, why would you bother?
Warriors’ Season Hopes Dwindle
Their season is over ,and with games against the Dolphins, Sea Eagles, Bulldogs, and the Sharks, they won’t win any of these, and with a bye in the last round they might just win this, maybe.
For a side that everyone expected to be in the top 8,what a load of crap. They will be lucky to finish in the bottom 8.
I turned the tv off after 40 minute, not for the first time this season, and won’t be watching them again.
Future of Second Kiwi NRL Team in Doubt
There is talk of a second kiwi side in the NRL, but this team has killed that idea.
They are simply ,TERRIBLE.
I feel so sorry for the coaching team trying to work with this lot. Time for a clean out.
These are the comments from the coach the day after I wrote my article. Do They sound similar?
“It’s one of those that hurts, not so much in the context of the season, just to how many dumb things we saw, things that weren’t good enough, just weren’t NRL standard,” he said.
“Too many errors, too many errors around last plays particularly, poor one-on-one misses (tackles) for tries.
“It’s just not good enough,” Webster said. “I feel like we dropped out bundle.”
Webster’s side missed 31 tackles and made 15 errors but he said many of those mistakes came at critical times and the Warriors were unable to defend them.
“I didn’t see that resilience, I didn’t see us wanting to make those one-on-one tackles to save those tries,” he said.
