Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville, Saturday, March 18th, 5.30pm
Cowboys team: 1. Tomas Chester 2. Kyle Feldt 3. Valentine Holmes 4. Gehamat Shibasaki 5. Murray Taulagi 6. Tom Dearden 7. Chad Townsend 8. Jordan McLean 9. Reece Robson 10. Reuben Cotter 11. Coen Hess 12. Jeremiah Nanai 13. Jason Taumalolo 14. Jake Granville 15. Griffin Neame 16. Jamayne Taunoa-Brown 17. James Tamou 18. Heilum Luki 19. Brendan Elliot 20. Taniela Sadrugu 21. Riley Price 22. Mitchell Dunn
Scott Drinkwater and Peter Hiku will be out after fowl play against the Broncos in their loss last week. Tom Chester will get his chance at fullback in his second first grade appearance, while Gehamet Shibasaki will make his debut replacing Hiku in the centres.
WARRIORS TEAM: 1. Taine Tuaupiki 2. Edward Kosi 3. Brayden Wiliame 4. Adam Pompey 5. Marcelo Montoya 6. Te Maire Martin 7. Shaun Johnson 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Wayde Egan 10. Bunty Afoa 11. Mitchell Barnett 12. Marata Niukore 13. Tohu Harris 14. Dylan Walker 15. Josh Curran 16. Bayley Sironen 17. Tom Ale 18. Viliami Vailea 20. Freddy Lussick 21. Ronald Volkman 22. Jazz Tevaga 23. Rocco Berry
The Warriors made to many errors against the Roosters last week which cost them any chance of victory, and lost Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad to concussion. Taine Tuaupiki will make his NRL debut at fullback. Jackson Ford is out with a head knock, moving Bunty Afoa into the pack and Bayley Sironen to the bench.
As you can see by my odds below I don’t think the Warriors have a show in the heat in Townsville.
The Cowboys backs are to classy and a big forward pack led by Jason Taumalolo will be a handful all day long.
Prediction.
The Cowboys at 13 plus looks good at $2.10, OR, minus 10.5 points @ $ 1.93. Throw in anytime try scorer to Val Holmes @2.45, and it will be a good earner.
The best I can find for Warriors fans is plus 17.5 points @ $1.45
