Games get a little tighter here as we get to the pointy end of the competition.
Friday,29th September
Auckland v Northland, I think Auckland will want to win this by about 15 points. The bigger unions have a lot more talent to chose from. Again Auckland have been poor even with all the talent they possess. They need to be weary of a hungry Northlands side who will compete all day long. This could be close.
Saturday ,30th September,
Waikato v Canterbury, This could be tight with Canterbury hoping to stay in second position on the table. Do not under estimate Waikato here at home. Red and Blacks by a couple.
Wellington v Hawkes Bay, Wellington lead the competition and will want this victory as well. Will win by 5 points.
Taranaki v North Harbour, The naki should get home against an improving Harbour but only just. They are currently sitting 3rd,while Harbour sit in position 10. Taranaki by 3 points
Sunday,1st October,
Otago v Counties Manukau, Even with Otago at home ,I think Counties should scrape through by a couple of points only. Neither side has been great, but Counties will be trying to get in the top 8 play offs. Currently 9th.
Bay of Plenty v Tasman, Southland made the Bay work for their narrow victory, and I don’t think Tasman will be so kind. Tasman for me away from home, but fresher, and will win by 7 points.
Manawatu v Southland, Take your pick in this game .The Turbo’s are sitting second last and Southland are last. I would like the Southerners to win their first game this year and they were unlucky to lose to the Bay of Plenty, missing two penalties for victory, and the Bay winning by 2 points. Maybe the home advantage gives Manawatu the advantage and I will stay with them by 2 points.
Last week ,PERFECT RESULT, All correct. Keep watching and check out the Rugby World Cup predictions also.
