The New Zealand Rugby Union is in charge of the process that hires the All Blacks coaches. Currently it is Ian Foster who was appointed after Sir Steve Hansen stepped down following the World Cup in Japan 2019.Foster was Hansen’s assistant coach. My personal position is this was a bad choice back in 2019, and even today in my opinion is still a bad choice. I am sure he is a lovely bloke ,just not good enough to win a World Cup. I hope I am proved wrong, but I see the All Blacks finishing 4th at the moment. This could change with injuries to key players and who is selected to tour.
Depending on results and coaches ambitions the All Blacks will need a new coach post 2023.Foster may stay, especially if he wins, but the next option is Razor Robertson from the CRUSADERS, possibly with Jamie Joseph, currently coaching JAPAN, and Jason Holland currently coaching the HURRICANES, in Super rugby. N.Z. Rugby can not make up their mind whether to appoint a new coach prior to the cup or afterwards. Razor was was overlooked in 2019,and then had the rug pulled from under him when N.Z. Rugby had him on standby as a replacement for Foster last winter before changing it’s mind. Razor has six Super Rugby titles to his name, and N.Z. Rugby can not make a decision. HOW HARD IS IT.?EITHER HE IS GOOD ENOUGH OR HE ISN’T. Personally I want him to stay at the Crusaders, but all coaches want to keep moving forward. I think N.Z. Rugby need to move quick, because if I was an over sea’s side looking for a coach, I would sign him up today. Not tomorrow, today.

With a lot of players going over sea’s after the cup a new coach needs to plan ahead . They have a life outside of rugby and need to plan the future for their families as well as themselves.
Hurry up N.Z/Rugby, get off your butt and make a decision.
