Tim Sheens has kept his starting side despite the Tigers’ winless start through four rounds. Adam Doueihi stays at fullback and Brandon Wakeham wears No.6 jersey again. But there’s new faces on the bench with Jake Simpkin, Justin Matamua and Starford To’a coming in for Daine Laurie, Alex Seyfarth, and Shawn Blore. It’s another big shake up for Sheens after his changes to the spine earlier in the season. The Tigers are in a heap of pain losing 16 of the last 17. The only win was against the Broncos at this venue in round 20 last year where they upset the Brisbane team 32-18.
PREDICTION.
I have to back the unbeaten Brisbane side at home looking for the perfect start to the season. They must be careful of not thinking they just have to turn up to win the game. Plenty of sides have done that before and had their pants pulled down.
I am going Brisbane 13 plus points, with anytime try scorer Reece Walsh, and the same for Selwyn Cobbo.
