Injury Concerns for Broncos

At CommBank Stadium on Friday night, two teams battered by injuries will undergo a rigorous test of their bench strength when they collide.

Broncos Roster Adjustments

The Broncos are bracing for a tough few months without Adam Reynolds, their skipper, who sustained a biceps injury during Friday’s match against the Roosters. Additionally, winger Jesse Arthars is sidelined with a broken jaw.

With understudy halfback Jock Madden also side lined, how the Broncos handle the coming weeks could have a big impact on the rest of their season. Young Burleigh Bears halfback, Josh Rogers gets his second NRL game, and Corey Oates goes on the wing. Patty Carrigan is named skipper in place of Reynolds.

Eels Injury Woes

After a week’s break, the Eels are eager for a fresh start, aiming to revitalize their season following four losses in their last five matches.

LATE MAIL.. Back-rower Bryce Cartwright’s return from rib injury has been delayed, replaced on the interchange bench by Brendan Hands.

Eels Line-up Changes

The Eels have plenty of injury concerns of their own with fullback Clint Gutherson (knee) joining halfback Mitch Moses (foot) on the side lines as Brad Arthur looks to the next generation to keep Parramatta’s season alive.

Key Stats

The Eels have lost their last nine games without fullback Clint Gutherson.

The Broncos have won three of their past four games against the Eels.

The Eels have conceded 76 points in their past two games.

The Broncos have won only one of four games at CommBank Stadium.

Eels second-rower Bryce Cartwright has scored six tries in his past six games at CommBank Stadium.

Prediction

The Eels had last week off to regather their thoughts and prepare for a renewed effort, while the Broncos were smashed by the Roosters on the scoreboard and in the casualty ward.

This game holds significant importance for both teams as they grapple with the absence of key players due to injuries. Can we expect Reece Walsh to bounce back after his disappointing performance last week?

To me, he thinks he is going to score off every play, and just needs to calm down and be more patient. Then the opportunities will come. This is a tough game to pick. With Gutherson and Moses out I will go for the Broncos in a close one.
