NZ vs SOUTH AFRICA 2nd TEST

Rugby Union

The good news first.

The AB’s won game 2 in South Africa. Ian Foster and his staff finally decided to bring in a young front row who were brilliant.

The rest of the forwards were also great, but I have to say the skipper does not add much, even though all he had to do was fall over the line to score a try, set up by Jordan.

I watched Canterbury today and have a look at Callum Grace as a loosie. Well in front of Cane.

BUT, the best part was picking Richie Mo’unga at 10.This guy has so much time and dancing feet, and a great combination with Havili.

Yes they made some mistakes, but overall they were good. If you look at the last 6 games where Beauden Barrett has played against Mo’unga, Richie has out played Barrett hands down.

But, still could not get picked to start, but come on late in the game and try to fix the mess. He must start.

Personally I would also get Caleb Clarke to come into 12 occasionally, on attack to crash the ball up much the same as Nonu did. Clarke also on kick offs, handed Mo’unga a couple of suicide passes. He must back himself, go forward and set up the ball, ready for the next option.

The ref and the assistants I would only rate 6 out of 10. Luke Pearce, the ref is a very technical ref and rather than let the game flow, he loves to blow the whistle, and slow the game down even more than usual.

There is so much time wasting in the modern game. At one stage the ref allows play to stop while a player changes his boots. Come on, please. Change your boots at half time or play on. No need to stop the game.

Next is Argentina, who will be physical but we will know who is coaching the AB’s by then. For me I would stay with what you have now.

Not great, but lets NOT ruin Razor’s career now and besides I want to see him win another Super Title with the Crusaders.
