JUNE 3rd, 2023 GOLD COAST TITANS v SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS
CBUS SUPER STADIUM,GOLD COAST
In a highly anticipated clash in NRL Round 14, the Gold Coast Titans and South Sydney Rabbitohs are set to face off at CBUS Super Stadium. Both teams are determined to end their respective losing streaks and reinvigorate their playoff ambitions. This match carries immense significance for their positions in the rugby standings, and a victory could be a turning point in their seasons.
Just a few weeks ago, the Rabbitohs were dominating the NRL and were considered strong contenders for the title. However, they now find themselves facing the prospect of a third consecutive loss, which hasn’t happened since early 2020. After a surprising defeat to Parramatta, an Origin-depleted Rabbitohs side couldn’t seal the win against Canberra, despite the impressive performance by Cody Walker. Although they will be without Latrell Mitchell, the return of Campbell Graham, along with the potential appearances of Cameron Murray and Jai Arrow after Origin, brings hope for a rejuvenated Rabbitohs lineup. Richie Kennar steps in on the wing, adding depth to their attacking options.
On the other hand, the Titans aim to halt their two-game losing streak and regain their winning form. A successful season for the Titans hinges on securing a playoff spot in the NRL standings, but they currently sit ninth and need to turn things around to avoid further descent. Recent defeats, including a narrow loss to the Bulldogs, have dampened their momentum. However, playing on their home turf at CBUS Super Stadium has proven favorable for the Titans in the past, as they secured a victory over the Eels in their previous home match. The inclusion of Origin stars David Fifita and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui boosts their chances, despite the absence of Kieran Foran. Jayden Campbell steps in at five-eighth, while Keano Kini fills the fullback role.
With both teams desperate for a win, this clash promises to be a thrilling encounter. The Gold Coast Titans will look to capitalize on their home advantage and reignite their playoff aspirations, while the South Sydney Rabbitohs aim to reclaim their winning form and close the gap at the top of the rugby standings. Don’t miss a moment of the action as these two formidable teams battle it out at CBUS Super Stadium in a must-watch NRL Round 14 showdown.

PREDICTION.
Like other teams in the bottom eight the Titans lack consistency. They are brilliant at times and then terrible at others. I do not see them finishing in the top eight this year, again. Another coach killer team. I will be backing the Rabbitohs and they should pull away to win by 9 points.
