NRL, ROUND 11, MAY 14th, 2023, MANLY SEA EAGLES v CRONULLA SHARKS
The Battle of the Beaches is set to take place at 4 Pines Park on Sunday, May 14th, 2023, as the Manly Sea Eagles face off against the Cronulla Sharks in what promises to be an exciting Round 11 NRL game. Both teams are coming off sizeable defeats and will be eager to bounce back and regain their form.
The Sea Eagles returned arguably the toughest performance of the season in Round 7, defeating the Storm, but have since been struggling, losing to both the Titans and Broncos in the last fortnight. On the other hand, the Sharks were shocked by the Dolphins but still find themselves inside the top four. They have a recent history of winning consecutive matches over the Sea Eagles, but Manly has still won 18 of the last 23 overall. The Sharks will be looking to orchestrate a much higher scoring outing with the return of Nicho Hynes earlier in the year.
Despite their recent struggles, the Sea Eagles still have a talented squad that can cause problems for the Sharks. However, they will need their under-strength forward pack to step up and lay the platform for the playmakers to have a chance against the Sharks. The wet weather may also even up the contest and potentially impact the Sharks’ point-scoring ability.

PREDICTION
I am going to go with the visitors here. Although Manly can win this if they play well in their home game, I think the Sharks will hang on for the win, Sharks by 6 points.
